Her art is unique to her varied background. She has lived in bigger cities, suburban areas, and rural areas of several midwestern states. She loves nature and gardens. So her art has to do with natural occurrences in these areas.
She has had educational training in the visual arts. She has a bachelor's in Art Education and two Master's degrees in Art Education and Art Business. She has taught art in different formats for the last 50 years to children and adults alike. Her art has been shown and sold in shows, galleries, and public places in the United States and Canada. Some Recent Awards include: Courage Kenny Award with Allina Health "Honoring the Blues", Rochester Airport shows her art: " Fishing at Side Lake ", Awarded a solo show in California, in Colorado award for "Hummingbirds and Morning glories".
The original paintings range from $350 to $2000. The price depends on the size, awards the art won, postage, and amount of time the artwork took. Some of the paintings can be made into a print or giclée.
Giclée pieces run about 10% of the original painting. Postage and matting, and framing are extra.
Artwork or calligraphy can be done on a custom base. Prices go by size, materials used, research needed, and how long it takes to paint. The client will know the price before the artist starts. The client and her will work out an agreement before starting. Both parties should work in good faith. She requires a deposit before starting, usually 1/2 down.
An example would be 30 lines of a typed 8 1/2 x 11 paper = 11 x 14 calligraphy-sized piece, no art $65, with a small amount of art, $85, matted and framed 14 x 18 sized $165
